Eind vorig schooljaar was er een sponsorsportdag waarbij de leerlingen van leerjaar 1 en 2 was gevraagd zichzelf te laten sponsoren voor een goed doel in Ghana.
Het goede doel was een woongemeenschap voor kinderen met een beperking in Nkoranza in centraal Ghana. Deze sponsorsportdag was een groot succes met een opbrengst van een kleine 4.320,-
Met dit geld zijn twee industriële wasmachines aangeschaft, een grasmaaier, een oven, een waterpomp gemaakt om water van 30 meter diepte op te pompen voor dagelijks gebruik en een aantal plafondventilators.
De begeleiders en de kinderen van de woongemeenschap zijn hier heel blij mee. Namens de Ghanawerkgroep nogmaals dank voor alle gulle giften/donaties en sponsorgelden.
